Cessnock Pump Track

In 2024, Cessnock City Council completed the first Pump Track in Cessnock.

It’s located in Bellbird at Carmichael Park, with parking on Sparke St and Tennant St.

The Bellbird pump track is named for Neville Tomlinson who was for many years the driving force behind the BMX track that used to be on this site.

The track is open 24/7 for riders of all ages. You’ll normally find all kinds of bikes and scooters being used. Like all pump tracks there’s multiple entry and exit points.

There’s no lighting and currently no dedicated toilet facilities but the accessible toilet at the Carmichael Park Amenities Building is open every day during daylight hours.

The Council have inaccurately named the pump track as a ‘BMX Facility’ which is completely ridiculous and makes it difficult for people to find when googling. We’re working to change this.

This is a very popular place for locals and tourists alike.
